I can't believe all this snow. I mean I know we are in MI and all but I have not seen the ground since like before we went to MO for Thanksgiving! We have had literally feet of snow in all. And now it is snowing again so much that Alex will probably have to shovel the drive just to get out for work.

So the Superbowl is coming soon and I'm excited! The Pittsburgh Steelers against the Arizona Cardinals. I was hoping the Ravens would beat the Steelers but they lost. :( Oh well all in all I just want the Cardinals to win the Superbowl.

Everyone in our house is doing well! :) Not a whole lot else going on!

This is what Elijah's bedding looks like.



This is the bedding we love to go with it for when he is bigger. The crib set he has now will go to our future baby when the time comes (works for a boy or girl)... I want their bedding to match as I am pretty sure they will be sharing a room. Plus I really love this theme. It makes me happy. Elijah also loves animals... They had lots of other Safari bedding but we liked the bolder colors better. Plus I love the red mixed in there.



Anyways... I just wanted to share this with you. I am sad however that it is out of stock at the moment but we will have to keep our eyes open on it. The thing is we want to get it now because bedding is hard to find at times. So if you like something you better go for it or else you may never see it again. Kind of like Elijah's bedding now. I don't see it anywhere and I have had someone even ask me where I bought his because they want a set but can't find one. Well I got his set at Target and the toddler bedding is also from Target.

Elijah is doing SOOO well!!! :D He is sooo smart and is doing well in "school. " I write down words on note cards and say them out loud. I also make noises or point to what the word is.

Like today for mouth, he put something in his mouth...
Sheep: He went and said baaa baaa and found his sheep
Bye-Bye-: He waved bye-bye
Foot: He bends down and grabs his foot.
Hands up: He lifts his hands up!

I should also add that he smelled his fake flower and said "flower smell" it was sooo cute! He knows the concept of smell and so when you say smell he sniffs. :)

You can tell he studies the words and tries to read them. We will be working on words everyday so he will pick of fast and be an early reader. :) Kids pick thing up really fast and are soooo much smarter then people what people give them credit for...

First off, Happy 16 months to Elijah! Can you believe he is 16 months old already?

Today I am going to be working on getting the house straightened up. I did laundry last night so that's out of the way... I just need to put Alex's and my clothes away. Elijah's is already put away. :)
Still need to do some more dishes, vacuum and such. My office/spare bedroom needs some attention as stuff is sprawled out all over the bed. lol

I am excited about tonight because we are using our gift certificate to the Olive Garden. We will be taking Elijah with us, which is fine because he is fun to go out to eat with. Besides, when it's just Alex and I he has nothing to really talk about and I do like all the talking. Either that or it is silent. lol I guess that's what happens sometimes when you have been married for 4 years. Running out of things to talk about besides the kids. What would we talk about without Elijah? lol I don't know... Ok enough rambling...

We tried to put a video up but it is not working, so we will try again later!!! it is honestly a hilarious one of Elijah! He makes such funny sounds and facial expressions.

Why does my house never stay cleaned!? It's seems to be an ongoing all day task... Sometimes I wonder why I even bother. lol

Good news!!!! My son now drinks milk instead of just formula. YAY!!! That's going to help save a lot of money as formula is soooo expensive! We could by like 6 gallons of milk for the price of a can of formula. It's honestly outragious!!! Plus we think they discontinued what we use so I am very thankful he likes milk now. :)

Not too much else going on besides the fact that we have sooo much snow! I would love to go out and about but who wants to go out in this stuff let alone drive in it.

Well I should get going... I think my son is ready for a nap and I have a house to pick up... AGAIN!!!!

My angels were watching out for me today. I heard a loud banging on the door and was expecting the new maintenance guy to fix our furnace. Well it wasn't him!!!! It was some guy with a vacuum cleaner asking if he could come in. NO he didn't explain why he was at my door but instead just wanted to barge in. Needless to say I said NO and slammed the door in his face! My heart raced.... He was still talking to me trying to get me to open the door but I locked it right away! I am thinking it may have been a guy down the street. Plus who sells vacuum cleaners in a foot of snow? It's winter here people!!! HELLO????? I get flirted with by creepy crack heads around here! There was a guy last year that got into single womens houses and killed them. I remember that horrible ordeal and the guy managed to escape every time. That happened here in Lansing I believe. I want to move away from this crack infested area!!!

I'm just so thankful God was watching out for me and the man left.

Last night I wasn't feeling good at all. I had a head ache and felt like I couldn't do anything. Alex said I was pretty warm. I really wanted to go to the mall though so we went and got Elijah new shoes (his no longer really fit him) and a couple of books. And we HAD to stop at the store for some much needed items. I stayed in the car with Elijah and had Alex go in. Oh btw I feel better today. I went to bed at 10 and slept till 9. :)

Elijah wears size 6 now in shoes. I prefer Velcro. Here's his new shoes! I told Alex he could pick them out since I picked out his last pair with my parents in September.

Last night our son was fussy and would keep waking up. So needless to say we let him sleep with us!!! Let's just say I woke up with feet in my face. I'm soooo glad he usually sleeps in his own bed. We put him in his bed and I'm so glad he slept some more hours so I could get some sleep.

The maintenance worker at Alex's work passed away yesterday. It's really quite sad... drinking literally will kill you! If he didn't drink or smoke he would still be alive. He was only 50.

Today I am going to try to get the house straightened up and the kitchen cleaned!!! The kitchen never seems to stay cleaned!!! LOL I guess it's because we have to eat! :)

Our son says, "Sit Down" now. And when he wasn't sitting on his bum he knew I was upset so he crouched down and said "sorry." LOL!!! He also says two when we are counting because he not obeying. We will say one, then he will say two. LOL Little stinker!!!!

TGIF!!!! I'm so glad it's Friday and tomorrow is the Sabbath! :) I got the things I needed when shopping yesterday. :) YAY!!! Tonight I am making Cottage Cheese Roast, Scalloped taters and some kind of vegetable for dinner. We LOVE CCR. :D

It's been snowing out all day. We are still planning on going to church though as my Hubby is the head Elder.

My son is learning sooo much! He is not like a lot of kids who like toys just to play. My son strives to learn. If it's a book or some kind of puzzle he is happy. :) I mean don't get me wrong, he likes toys but he prefers the toys that help him learn. Last night I bought him one of those stands with the colored rings and he loves it! He actually figured out last night and put them in the correct order on the stand. I have to admit, I was kind of surprised he figured it out so quickly all by himself. I have a feeling he's going to be REALLY smart like his daddy. My husband gets 4.o's with hardly studying. He can get an A on a test and read the material once. BLAH on him. I can study and study and still get like a C. I mean I was a good student in college but I studied my rear off to get there. And I wasn't married and didn't have kids.

Oh and oour son now says purple and he knows the color. He says Bopple or Bottle and Bapple for Apple. :) It's a new word everyday it seems.

Ok well little man is awake so I gotta go!

Tonight hubby is going to watch our son so I can go shopping!!! I need a nice floor cleaner. We have hard wood floors so I would love something that wouldn't make me go on my hands and knees. I'm sure I will figure out something.

I have been cleaning and our kitchen floor was pretty gross!!! Hubby is almost done with our table so we can get our dining room finished! YAY!!! I have pics to hang on the wall and finish my Italian look. We painted the table black and it looks nice!!! I will definitely post pics Carrie. :)

Well I should get back to cleaning while I can since my son is sleeping!

It's not quite that bright of a pink but I LOVE the color of pink it is. I wanted a Sansa holder so badly and this is even cooler. It's rubber so it's a cool feeling plus it has a clip for your pants or belt. And it has a arm belt so you can put it on your arm while jogging or whatever. Alex bought two, a black and a pink one so I told him I wanted to get him a Sansa also (His came in Christmas Eve and he ordered it the day before). :D So now we have our own Sansa's. He got me one last Christmas and we love it! It's a cheaper version of an Ipod.

I got lots of nice stuff but this was on the top of my list!!! Now I can jam to music while cleaning anywhere in the house. I know I am easy to please lol.

My son amazes me! He now says flower. Yesterday I had his book and we were looking at pictures. I turned the page and there was the flower. he pointed and said flower. I was amazed!!! He says Bapples now too. That's apples Also he says "what's that" a lot and when you tell him to go get something he will get it and bring it to you. And boy does he know who Handy Manny is!!! He loves that show and so do we... It teaches you English and Spanish all in one show. The voice of Handy Manny is Fez off of That 70's Show. LOL

He also likes to show off his belly button. When you ask him "Where is your belly button?" He lifts up his shirt and sticks his finger on it. Also he knows five. He says it too and will give you a high five. I'm glad he is developing so well. He's only 15 months old and I think he knows a lot for his age.
